Widescreen rackmount LCD Monitors, also known as widescreen Rack LCDs are industrial monitors and come with 7U or 8U height metal housing. These units are considered rugged units and are specifically designed for commercial and military applications. It features an all steel construction with a rack mountable aluminum bezel.

Front panel controls such as the On/Off switch and OSD buttons are located on the front of the LCD monitor for easier access around the unit. These OSD functions allow you to adjust the LCD monitor for the best view and provides an auto-shut off  function, which enables the monitor drawer to go right back to its rest position right at the tip of your fingertips.

These wide screen rack monitors come with 17.3-inch to 21.5-inch wide screen LCD monitors that deliver crisp text and vivid colors. The monitors come with a metal rugged housing to fit into the standard 19" rack cabinet and are designed to meet military shock, vibration, and environmental standards. Ultra excellent display quality is supported by a maximum contrast ratio of 600:1 and a resolution of up to 1920 x 1080 pixels for the monitor. These units include a 178 degree viewing angle for an unparalleled viewing ability and displays 1.07 billion colors (True color). The standard video input included VGA, DVI-D & HDMI with stereo speaker, additional video input for BNC, 3G, HD & SD-SDI (option). Other optional items for resistive type touch screen monitor and MCS (Multi-display Control solution) for HMI computer and CCTV computer application.

Direct current, which is also referred to as DC power is used as the power supply. A 110/220VAC power adapter is integrated into each widescreen monitor and converts power from your outlets into a steady stream of power that the computer can use. The quality of the power supply can be very important because it can make the difference between a stable computer and an unreliable computer.

Some important options that are available for custom applications are Widescreen Rack mount LCDs with composite video, S-Video, DVI, high brightness and sun light readable, resistive touch screens with USB/serial controller, and capacitive touch screens with serial controller.
